Shahab Rezania

Shahab Rezania received his Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Physiotherapy from McGill University in 1998 and 2001, respectively. In 2004 he completed a Masters degree in Manipulative Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland in Australia. Shahab also completed his certification in Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) at the Institute for the Study of Pain (ISTOP) in 2008.
Shahab uses his clinical skills in the analysis and management of clients with musculoskeletal problems. Integrating IMS into his physiotherapy practice allows him to diagnose and treat the chronic myofascial pain that can be present in the musculoskeletal system in the absence of any obvious sign of injury or inflammation.
Shahab’s treatment techniques include soft tissue manipulation, myofascial release, manual therapy, spine and joint mobilization and manipulation, intramuscular stimulation, and exercise therapy. His personal interests include advanced diagnosis of posture and muscle imbalances which may lead to chronic pain, work and sports injuries, treating headaches, neck, shoulder, lower back, hip, knee, and ankle disorders.
