MSP does NOT cover most people for physiotherapy. The exception is for people with low income who are on premium assistance. MSP has a calculator for this – http://www.gov.bc.ca/msp/eligibilitycalculator/. If you are covered by premium assistance, you are eligible for 10 visits per year of any of physiotherapy, massage therapy, podiatry, naturopathy or acupuncture. Please note this is a combined total of 10 visits, not 10 visits for each service. Our user fee for physiotherapy services is $20 for each visit. MSP only covers $23 per visit – this is a deep discount on our private fee and we do so, only to cover our costs.
